National Pride is essential to the building of a people - and so is regional pride, state pride, and even being proud of our city or school. It helps to bond us and unite us. But some - especially on the left - believe that this is destructive. They believe that this divides us and creates feelings of superiority. We see this every time they attack a school or sports mascot, the Boy Scouts, and when they say America is not a great nation, only one among many.
Thus their attempts to destroy the roots and symbols of pride in Dixie. My wife's mother remembers her grandfather marching in parades wearing his Confederate uniform. He had fought with General Lee if every battle of the war, and was their the day it ended. He never owned slaves nor fought for that right. But this is not about the war - at least not that one. This is about destroying pride in the South - and it will not stop there. The left has nothing to be proud of, so they attack those who do.

I think southern “pride” was destroyed when Sherman marched to the sea and buried when Lee surrendered at Appomattox in 1865
Is southern pride solely dependent on the Confederate flag?
The left proves that the significant numbers of US citizens, who knows how many actually are legal citiens, are mindless followers. At best powerless to stop the butchering of our Republic.
The “left” is everything the left claimed to fear just a few years ago.
Actually, they were never for freedom or liberty or a individuals pursuit of happiness. They are about control and domination and greed and power. They make “evil” corporations seem like pussy cats.
OF course, they make evil seem appealing.
They won the war against humanity without a single shot.
NO, symbols mean something, that's why it was attacked.
Men will not live without pride. If you are not proud of your nation you will be proud of your ball team. If not your ball team, then your political leanings, your gang or race or something.
Our society is turning into a dystopia almost before our eyes, like a Matt Bracken novel.
Note thought that in Matt Bracken’s novels, there were people who fought back.
We need to psychologically prepare ourselves for the next stage. Real patriots will need to stand up.
