My every day carry gun is a Ruger SP101 (2.25”). It always goes bang when I pull the trigger. No FTEs, no worries. Although I do own several semi-autos, from service-size to subcompact, all the practice that time allows will not replicate the stress of a real world defensive situation that could result in a breakdown of fundementals and a FTE that bricks my weapon.
