Tebow was not in the NFL the past two seasons because of two things his accuracy and his throwing motion. The two are tied together, and through two practices, Tebow looks to have improved from the last time he played in the NFL with the New England Patriots two years ago.
Breaking down the mechanics of Tebow's throwing motion is a job for a quarterback's coach, not a beat reporter, but to the naked eye, nothing stands out about Tebow's throwing motion. He gets the ball out as quickly as the three other quarterbacks on the roster and doesn't stand out whatsoever when all four throw the ball during drills.
Whether Tebow can keep his quick release in live game action remains to be seen, but it looks like the two years that Tebow spent on his throwing motion was time well spent.
Tebow has the build and shoulders of a linebacker, and he throws like one too. Tebow doesn't have the strongest arm on the team (that title belongs to Sam Bradford), but he is pretty close. Last week, while casually running from one drill to another, Tebow flicked the ball while running about 40 yards in a perfect spiral. Again, this isn't in a game, but Tebow doesn't seem like he'll have any trouble getting the ball down the field should he make the roster and get some action. [...]

If he joins the Eagles, I guess he’ll be that “new kid in town” they’ve been longing for.
If Tebow has gained good mechanics as a result of his work with Hous he will be the #2 at least. Sanchez and Barkley are stiff, this is the best situation in the NFL for him. Kelly’s O is ideal for his skill set.
Ya have to think that Kelly will better use Tebow’s abilities to the teams advantage. Least more so than his last team and coach.
And Tebow does have many dkills.
You want to try to stop his big butt coming at you?
Plus maybe he can set an example for other players too.
Talking throwing mechanics, what about Phillip Rivers?
Looks painful to me but he gets the job done.
Practice field improvement is nice, but for most guys that improvement disappears the minute they’re facing a defense that’s allowed to hit them.
Some can pull off accuracy with bad mechanics, but if you’re not accurate the usual focus is the mechanics.
That's been a problem with him before. A heavy rush & he reverts back to old form.
Mark Sanchez started half their games last season.
‘Nuff said.
Nope. Much of the same things being said about his Eagles tenure were said when he went to the Patriots i.e. we will "fix" him & he'll be fine.
Tomato - Tohmato.
As we know, the test will be when he has a real defense on the other side of the ball & everything is moving at NFL speed.
“As we know, the test will be when he has a real defense on the other side of the ball & everything is moving at NFL speed. “
And under those conditions he has a winning record.
