The word you are looking for used to be “bum”...
I can’t keep track any more.
Does “transient” now refer to a person’s lack of a residence, or is it a sexual orientation?
Could one interpret that “homeless” is considered to be an objectionable term?
See post #4.
For some, yes it is.
But not for political reasons - for if you notice, there are no “homeless” persons during a Leftist regime; the proper term then is “transient” or “distressed”...
We used to call them “drunks” or “bums”. But I guess that’s insensative nowadays. Don’t want to hurt their little feelings don’t cha know.
“Transient” sounds like it applies to someone who is always busy and on the go. Never staying in one place for very long and just passing through like a rolling stone. Pretty cool if you can imagine being so free that you’d have nothing left to lose. Yeah, right...real ‘cool’.
“We spent our honeymoon in Maine.”
“Bangor?”
It is short for mentally ill/drug addicted.
