SSA.GOV - A Hackers Tool

The ssa.gov website is vulnerable in several ways, and when it comes to identity thief's no one is a better friend or more helpful with validating data or filling in the blanks or even stealing complete Social Security Account Numbers. Social Security Account Numbers are said to be the Holy Grail of identity theft.

Stealing Social Security Numbers
Hackers may easily steal Social Security Account Numbers from the Social Security Administration's website ssa.gov making Everyone who has ever been issued a Social Security Account Number vulnerable to identity theft should hackers choose to use this attack vector.

This vulnerability is possible because the Social Security Administration uses substandard security techniques in today’s digital age.

What makes the vulnerability on ssa.gov unique is that everyone living who has ever been issued a Social Security Account Number is vulnerable.

Anonymous Data Validation
The ssa.gov is also an effective tool used by hackers to confirm that they have the correct data during the buying and selling process.

A buyer does not want inaccurate data, and a seller wants to maintain his reputation. Both will use the ssa.gov website to validate the data exchanged is real.

With a name and birth date a hacker can steal a Social Security Number. With a name and Social Security number a hacker can validate a birth date.

Some Social Security Account Numbers are indeed harder to steal than others but some of those most vulnerable are millennial's, todays college students and those just getting started in life.

Some of the details of the ssa.gov hack are explained by an article I published yesterday.

They not only got your SSN but the names, ages and SSN’s of your children/dependents that they will be able to use for years and years to come. They can now rob welfare, food stamps, disability, medicare, retirement, savings...you name it and literally billions will go missing in the future. Once again thanks to a faculty lounge administration.

Once everyone's ID has been compromised, the only way you will be able to access your money will be to provide proof positive ID. AKA the chip!

Your money, or your eternal life!

Actually you must use this hack before you can hack the IRS to get your dependents information. =)

A SSN sells for $20 online. Like you pointed out, it can be used by a hacker to make a few thousand dollars a year.

By sheer stupidity the SSN has gone from a retirement account number to a universal personal identification number.

The people in charge have no idea how to solve this problem. The people who have solutions are not listened to.

MY Original Card from '68 says right on the front:

NOT TO BE USED FOR IDENTIFICATION PURPOSES

The new ones don't.
