I meant they were spinelesly caving in to the muslims.
the muslims are the ones with common sense in this situation. they have the same position that all of American used to have, before feminism — girls teams are for girls and boys teams are for boys.
WilliamIII, and those commenters who agree with him, are being principled. The Muslim team was being duplicitous.
I will state as fact that women could not have cut it in the field with us in Vietnam (1/1 CAV, Americal Division).
And climbing this scale there would be a time when it couldn’t happen in this. Yet at the high school JV level, I respectfully disagree. She made tryouts and gave her all, successfully, as well as any of the boys.
you seem to take the position, “if Muslims are against it, I’m for it.” So, you’re for putting girls on boys sports teams.
What about gay marriage. Muslims are against that. Does that mean you’re for it?
girls have cooties
It's OK by me if they ruin it for the Muslim boys.
it’s conceivable that they complained at half time, because it became apparent they couldn’t play their all against a team with girls. As I said in an earlier post, I would never want to get rough against a girl — shin kicking, etc - - yet that’s what soccer involves. Any team of guys - not just Muslims - would have to realize they were holding themselves back in order not to hurt the girls on the other team.
I hope you enjoy Ramadan in November,
Basically, the Muslim team is for AND against girls being on a boys team: it all depends on whether the Muslim team wins. you seem to take the position, if Muslims are against it, Im for it.
You sound like a Liberal. You believe I disagreed with you and so I must be a bigot.
she may be as athletic as the boys on her team, but other teams would be handicapped playing against her. no boy with characted wants to kick a girl in the shins — but that’s what happens in soccer, when you’re playing full-force.
bottom line — girls don’t belong on boys teams, I don’t care how athletic they are.
Ramadan? Because I don’t think girls belong on boys sports teams?
I have the same position that was once the universal position in America.
You have a different position. I hope you enjoy international feminist day next February!
My point remains: Liberals prop up Muslims who pretty much disagree (with extreme violence) any and all of the liberal agenda. It is the strangest thing to see. You’d really have to go out of your way to create a stranger set of bedfellows (especially since one of them would very much like to cut the head off the fellow who is trying to get in the bed.)
the flip side is shown on this thread: a lot of conservatives side with extreme feminists when they see Muslims disagreeing with the feminists.
How do you know, if you don't know, if you never knew in the first place? ///rhetorical
I, however, don’t take soccer all that seriously and could care less if there are girls on the team, since virtually every soccer team I see playing in local parks are mostly girls anyway.
But hey, please continue with your pointless rant towards me, as I am starting to become amused by it.
Tell me, though, isn’t the point to kick the little white ball and not your opponents? It’s been a while since I played, and we did wear shin guards just in case some did play it that way. There were both boys and girls playing, but that was grade school, and honestly, most of the girls were bigger than us.
The behavior of the boys changes the minute a girl steps on the field. They hold back and thus do not learn the lessons about themselves that sports was invented to allow.
Boys never reach their full capacity or learn how to control their strength. Girls are a governor,.
Sounds like Muzzies forfeit the game. Other teams wins by default.
Then they FORFEIT the game.
Don't judge them too harshly. Have you seen their women?
