Swiss authorities began an extraordinary early-morning operation here Wednesday to arrest several top soccer officials and extradite them to the United States on federal corruption charges.
As leaders of FIFA, soccers global governing body, gathered for their annual meeting, more than a dozen plain-clothed Swiss law enforcement officials arrived unannounced at the Baur au Lac hotel, an elegant five-star property with views of the Alps and Lake Zurich.
The officers went to the registration desk to get keys, then headed upstairs toward the hotel rooms. One FIFA official was led by the authorities from his room to a side-door exit of the hotel. He was allowed to bring his luggage.
The charges allege widespread corruption in FIFA over the past two decades, involving bids for World Cups as well as marketing and broadcast deals, according to three law enforcement officials with direct knowledge of the case. The charges include wire fraud, racketeering and money laundering, and officials said they targeted members of FIFAs powerful executive committee, which wields enormous power and does its business largely in secret.

which wields enormous power and does its business largely in secret.
Everyone knows only the US Senate has those powers
Hillary goes free.
Micheal Schnidt, New York Times reporter, is live tweeting from the scene:
For one reason or another, Hillary is above the law. The Law of God is the only thing that will do Hillary in. The law of man refuses to touch her.

“Hillary goes free.”
And so does Soros. Unbelievable!!!
My bet would be this is ALL about Russia being awarded the 2018 World Cup.
David Downs, executive director of the rejected U.S. bid, is a HUGE Obama supporter, and President of Univision.
I wish they would arrest individual players for faking injuries.

NYTimes story updated again:
One of the officials arrested in Zurich was Eduardo Li of Costa Rica.
Indictments will be brought against more than 10 officials, not all of whom are in Zurich.
Among them are “Jeffrey Webb of the Cayman Islands, a vice president of the executive committee; Eugenio Figueredo of Uruguay, who is also an executive committee vice president and until recently was the president of South Americas soccer association; and Jack Warner of Trinidad and Tobago, a former member of the executive committee who has been accused of numerous ethical violations.”
How is this the business of the USA? We have our own football.
My guess is that they forgot to contribute to the Clinton Global Initiative.
Maybe they didn’t properly inflate the balls....
So the (former) “World’s Policeman” can’t do anything to halt the “Junior Varsity” genocide against Christians, women, children and World Heritage Sites in Syria and Iraq.
But, by God, they can still go all the way to Switzerland to get those filthy rich men for not playing fair with sporting events.
Yet the banksters are free....
Now we know what NSA was doing instead of tracking terrorists and Obama phones.
