The King Ranch was over 1 million acres. I staked oil wells for them in the 60’s as a teenager and got to visit and do a little fishing. Fabulous ranch.

Back in the early days of my family in Texas, we owned a cattle ranch and our brand had initials in it. That caused several generations of male children to have very similar or the same name.

Showing up at auction named Bill with a herd of cattle carrying the initials I.C. Could be hazardous to one's health...

Yes, you are correct. King Ranch is over 800,000 acres and is comprised of 4 large divisions, only two of which touch along a short border. So 3 different pieces of land, not contiguous.
