We get the Sam's Columbian

Yep. 32 bucks for 80 cups of excellent coffee. 40 cents a cup and no mess.

What is the best cheap razor blade?

Disposable twin blades. Throw it way after a couple shaves, you will always have a sharp blade.

The free market does. You can buy reusable fillable kcups and fill themmwith whatever coffee you want.

a tip. Dry your blades after using. I can use a cartridge for months. Even better is drying them and then putting a litttle oil on them. a drop of olive oil.

Maybe you don’t understand the first attempt of the Version 2.0 of Keurig or maybe you don’t understand how it operated. Other than that, I don’t understand your comment.

After all, it would not work (supposedly) with reusable cups either... They needed the golden ring thingy...

Ah it doesn’t matter at this point! They have learned their lesson I hope and and removed the DRM from their product.

Either way, it is a win for the free market.

Too many companies today act like their customers are prey rather than clients to be cultivated.

Do you really want your coffee makers to protect their product to the point of making you buy coffee from only them?

That's the problem. Coffee drinkers get real mad when their brand of coffee doesn't fit in the new coffee maker one morning. Surprise!

Plus, the K-cups they already paid for no longer work. G-r-r-r. They want their coffee!!!

FR Rule #1: don’t read the article before posting. That usually explains the comments that don’t make sense.

I’m content to make up a carafe of coffee with my Gevalia coffee maker. I store the unused amount in the refrig and heat it up the next morning. The used coffee grinds get thrown into the garden or compost pail. Heating up the refridged coffee from previous brew does not diminish taste and in fact the heat reduces acid content. Works for me and I don’t have to mess with small plastic K cups.

I got a tough sandpaper beard. Really love the newer blade technology and used to purchase the Gillette Mach 3 blades but I’m also a cheapskate and don’t enjoy forking over the $12 for four blades. I’ve switched to the disposable Schick Slim Twins. I put moisturizing lotion on before the shaving cream or gel and this helps smooth the shave and I can get one month out of each razor. Dry the razor blade off with the towel to help it last longer. Works for me....

"...I never saw the practical use of having a single cup brewer. I drink 4-5 cups of coffee each morning as does my wife..."

Hahahahaha...I GUESS so! At that rate, you would need to take a mortgage out to get your coffee fix from a single cup brewer!

Typical ex-military...unless he was working, my dad would never be found without a cup of coffee in one hand and a cigarette in the other...:)

recently at my auto service waiting room which formerly had a Keriug. Instead they had some sort of similar brewer and odd packets instead of k cups
they had to come over and show me how to use it.

when I asked what happened with keriug the young man said too many people were stealing them.

I like my coffee VERY strong. I don’t drink it all day but two cups in the morning is all I want. Keurig doesn’t allow anywhere near the brew strength I like. And, the recipe for coffee is pretty simple. I don’t actually need much of a machine to boil water.

Aeropress. 2.5 minutes to an excellent cup, self cleaning, no waste.
