The woman who accused former Alabama defensive lineman Jonathan Taylor of assault this past weekend has since recanted her statement to police and was subsequently arrested for giving a false report, according to authorities.

Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit assistant commander Kip Hart said the 24-year-old woman, whose identity is being withheld, approached investigators and provided a written statement saying she fabricated the story.

Give these bitches the same punishment if the accused were guilty and this would stop pretty quick.

Yeah, I do like that idea, but someone pointed out to me that if we did that, then they would probably never recant at all. That’s probably a pretty accurate prediction, I think.

I think a better solution might be to extend the “rape shield” laws to those who are ACCUSED of rape, sexual assault, harassment, etc. Since the main appeal of the false accusation seems to be to ruin someone’s life and reputation, shielding the identity of the accused unless they are convicted (and enforcing penalties against those who violate the shield law) would seem to remove the motivation for making most of these accusations in the first place.

There are attorneys that make a living on false allegations for profit. I know two and they are relentless if the woman filed false charges for revenge or payola. He clears his clien’t names and proves they’re innocent. They’re often already serving a sentence when he gets their cases appealed. I think the women should servethe same sentence that was handed down to the falsely accused with an added fine of a substantial amount. It would stop that crap pronto...

It needs to be worse punishment for false reporting. It’s absolutely 100% deliberate and it’s also making our system of laws a laughing stock.

Whatever they accuse someone else of, double the punishment for the false reporter.

Agree 100%. Many a man’s life has been unjustly ruined because of a false allegation. Time it stopped.

And why is this biotch’s identity being withheld?
