Good question. I am needing to be flexible this summer and not be tied down to a garden. On top of that, with classes and some of the other projects, I don’t want to get a bunch of experiments started only to have to sacrifice them.

We started the celery root on a whim, and can probably handle that easily as an indoor potted plant.

While I would like to immediately try out some of the things I’m learning in class, and that might be better, I just don’t have time this year! I’m focusing on just collecting the data.

Cluster Bean (Gawar) - those might come in handy in hard times.

Anytime you buy a bag of dried beans at the grocery store, save back a few to try in the garden.

If the weather isn’t kind or you can’t get to your pole beans, the immature seeds inside a damaged skin can be cooked and eaten.

Thanks for the info. You can bet I'm keeping it. I'm hoping for some rain here now. I don't know if we'll get it or not, but I can use it.

I outsourced some of my ceramics, since I know I won't have a ceramic furnace here now or in the future... I need to do the same with some of the metal casting bucket list. I may be able to do that if I live through the next year or so, but there are a few things I'll have to outsource.

Oh well. I've got time to do a search now.
