He doesn’t need it, but he clearly and desperately wanted it.
This doesn’t just end his career, it destroys his legacy, and it also destroys the value of his body of work, for instance reruns of The Cosby Show.
I think he is so sick that all he cares about is his career and public persona, so for me, it is good news that this rape history finally broke out.
He may as well suffer some here from his accusers, before he has to answer for it in the afterlife, plus, his reaction here, gives some clues of what he thinks of an afterlife.
I have no conclusion, it was just an observation that came to mind.

Black people were so angry with racist cops then, they didn’t want to see anyone put on trial except the police.
But today, a newly released CNN/ORC International poll finds a majority of black Americans, 53 percent, say Simpson was guilty.
The percentage of whites who say Simpson was guilty has also jumped, from 68 percent to 89 percent. That 21 percent increase is a measure of liberal guilt being dumped.
Overall, 66 percent of Americans said Simpson was guilty 20 years ago. Today, that number is 83 percent.
Some liberals still proclaim that Alger Hiss was falsely convicted of being a Communist spy.
With the OJ case, it was more about being to see someone black get one over on the cops.
I’m white and I don’t feel that justice was served when a wealthy white guy murdered his neighbor and dumped his remains off the coast.

Thanks for taking the time to explain... the above is another eye opener...
Thanks, the italicized quote in your post was from the linked article, not a comment by me.
If it was just one woman, a couple of women, or even a large group of women who knew one another making these claims, I might agree with you. I normally give people, especially prominent people who are easy targets, the benefit of the doubt. You have to be a little bit desperate to explain the sheer numbers of (unconnected) accusers as some kind of grand conspiracy against Cosby. And I say this as someone who used to (mostly) like the guy, or at least his benevolent public persona.
