It was a gag and funny insider joke...
The Mods have decided Satire must be labeled as such.
Personally, I love watching people get caught in a satire thread and it really improves our community, by causing us to challenge assertions and stories, even if they are more in line with our views.
What wasn’t told was that Commander Fred was wounded and Brian Williams took over control...He crah landed himself...The way the props were ground off is because brave Brian landed.......INVERTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About an hour ago I was driving on Ventura Blvd., parallel to the runway at Camarillo Airport (I had picked up a Ventura grandson to see the B-29) when the B-29 came alongside and took off going in my same direction - east - which is not usual. (Typically the planes take off going west-).
Holy cow - what a sight!
