I’m still watching but this show lacks characterization. Everyone kind of seems the same this season.
Not a bad analysis. I like the idea that “our” group is
NOT the only bunch of decent people. It adds to the
believe ability of the premise of the show. To accomplish
that scenario they would need to maintain an amount of
autonomy from the existing residents in order to all
“get out of Dodge” as opposed to assimilation. Either that or
our group will change quite a few faces when the sh!t
eventually hits the fan and that probably won’t happen.
Maybe this new settlement will have its’ own version of the
governor out to displace them. Who knows?
Yes, there is that. I hope the writers got enough feedback to drop the in your face on screen performance.
If everyone turns out nice and everyone gets along....the show’s over. There has to be friction or there’s nothing to watch it for.
It’s a train wreck...kind of entertaining, though!
I really, REALLY hate that Rick is going to return to his clean-shaven look! Tonight I’ll toast his beard with a glass of wine.
I personally think turdburglar number 2 won’t last long and it will be largely forgotten that there’s a gay character like everybody has forgotten that there’s a lesbian.

I looked at it and you’re right, it’s a train wreck. LOL Some of the comments are off the wall. “Daryl has lice”, “Maggie is going to kill Glenn”, etc.

Also, there are SIGNS. This season we've seen a focus on car trunks. Beth spent time in a car trunk. And if you go back to "Clear", the word BEF was written on Morgan's wall. He must have been having visions about her. So these are clear foreshadowings she is not dead!

I would not be surprised if some people think TWD is a reality show. I’m serious.
I wonder if this ep will have nerve-wracking hot-shower-finally scenes, too. And then new wardrobes and haircuts for everyone.

I never stated “everyone”. But in the world of survivors
there is bound to be more than one group of well intentioned
people. In a two hour movie you don’t have time to
depict more than a set of good guys and a set of bad guys.
In a episodic series there is plenty of opportunity to
depict at least one other decent “Rick Clique” type group.
If all other groups are always evil then the plots will
become stale just like the usual cops and robbers formula
programs of the past.
It wouldn’t surprise me, either.
