Bridezilla Alert! Bride-to-be Launches Media Offensive over the 'Wrong' Doilies - But Can You ....
Daily Mail (U.K.) ^ | February 27, 2015 | Kelly McLaughlin

A Dallas bride-to-be has been left devastated 36 days before she says 'I do' after a mix-up over her doily-covered wedding invitations.

Natalie DeGraffenreid ordered custom, doily-decorated invitations from the Arlington-based company, Art by Ellie. But what she received in the mail was not what she ordered.

Her distress began when she opened the package from stationary firm - half of her invitations had the wrong doily design.

DeGraffenreid was so upset about the doilies that she turned to her local ABC TV station to warn others of her experience.

It’s a problem. I mean, there is virtually NO guidance as to which doilies to use when I’m sending out invites to my pig roast at the local Grange Hall. Miss Manners is no help at all. All I want to know is what brand of paper towel is best. You’d think those swanky clubs in the Hamptons would have that all worked out by now.

Boyfriend better take a hint before HE signs a “contract” with her on April 4th.

Devastated by doilies? This babe may not be ready for marriage - she would have to cope with a lot more than that.

Whenever I hear women talking about the male ego I think about all of the bridezillas out there. When it comes to weddings, many women have egos bigger than Texas.

My thoughts too. Sometimes its all about the wedding and nothing about the marriage.

Dallasites take their weddings very very seriously.

Good thing she wasn’t at my wedding, when the organist never bothered to show up.

The shirt or dress she is wearing indicates a possible doily fixation.

It’s like I told my wife before. “I want to BE married, it’s the GETTING married part I’m not a big fan of.”

If a guy is thinking about getting married, he should lock his fiance and his dog in the trunk of a car. After an hour, let them out and see which one is happy to see him.

I remember my florist doubled the price for my flowers right before my wedding and dared me to cancel. They told me there wasn’t enough time for anyone else to turn around such a large order, they didn’t count on several florists being able to turn around smaller ones :)

The bride in this story should be happy to have someone willing to problem solve. The doilies are very different but who cares? They go out one to a customer, you know?! If she would have kept her mouth shut no-one would have been the wiser (and both are pretty).

She’s got a lot to learn, wait’ll she has babies :D

Especially when the Diamond industry is considered part of the wedding industry. Diamonds are highly manipulated to increase their price.

It truly is. I made my own dress (hand sewing pounds of glass beads on) but I’d go consignment if I had it to do over.

Daughters can be super expensive to raise.

I wonder if there was ever a study done comparing the net worth of fathers who raised just two daughters against fathers who raised just two sons. I think the results would be shocking.

A co-worker of mine endured the ultimate nightmare scenario involving his daughter. He spent over $100,000 sending her to a first-class four year college. Almost as soon as she graduated, she decided to get married and he had to pony up almost $50,000 for that.

A couple kids and a few years later, she divorced her husband and guess what? Yes, "Daddy's little girl" moved right back into the house with her brood and he's been helping to support them ever since.
