The Directors Cut, of course.

Never saw it in the theater! :-)

What bothers me is that any new effort will be all CGI and will lack the artistic integrity of the original. Just my humble opinion. I hate CGI.

Some did not get end-of-life programming.

Another reason to get rid of Obamacare.

Ben Jr. is studying Bladerunner in a college film class. His “professor” claims that Ford’s character is also a replicant

I thought he was?!

I know where you are coming from, but I have more tolerance for a sequel. A remake...now way.

Ford may not play Deckard the replicant. He could be the human that the Deckard replicant was based on.

You understood it?

I did. And I found it boring. What I never understood is what all the fuss was about.

***I found Gladiator completely dour and joyless.***
Same story as THE FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE (1964).

Now if they’d start the sequel off the shoulder of
Orion, or the Tannhuser gate, that might work.

Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhuser Gate.

I wonder how ... and on what ... he bases that claim. I would be interested in the observations that he made in the movie that leads him to that conclusion.

I really like Blade Runner, and so, I got this special edition when it came out ... :-) ... It has a huge amount of additional information on the movie and the other versions, from many of the people involved in it.

Blade Runner (Five-Disc Ultimate Collector’s Edition)
http://www.amazon.com/Runner-Five-Disc-Ultimate-Collectors-Edition/dp/B000K15VSA

In celebration of Blade Runner’s 25th anniversary, director Ridley Scott has gone back into post production to create the long-awaited definitive new version.

Blade Runner: The Final Cut, spectacularly restored and remastered from original elements and scanned at 4K resolution, will contain never-before-seen added/extended scenes, added lines, new and improved special effects, director and filmmaker commentary, an all-new 5.1 Dolby® Digital audio track and more. Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Edward James Olmos, Joanna Cassidy, Sean Young, and Daryl Hannah are among some 80 stars, filmmakers and others who participate in the extensive bonus features.

Among the bonus material highlights is Dangerous Days, a brand new, three-and-a-half-hour documentary by award-winning DVD producer Charles de Lauzirika, with an extensive look into every aspect of the film: its literary genesis, its challenging production and its controversial legacy. The definitive documentary to accompany the definitive film version.

The Ultimate Collector’s Edition will be presented in a unique 5-disc digi-package with handle which is a stylish version of Rick Deckard’s own briefcase. In addition, each briefcase will be individually numbered and in limited supply. Included is a lenticular motion film clip from the original feature, miniature origami unicorn figurine, miniature replica spinner car, and collector’s photographs, as well as a signed personal letter from Sir Ridley Scott.

I believe the director himself said that Deckard was a replicant. Also, a clue that was in a scene left out of the movie was where the two were traveling through the countryside after their escape from the city when she says to Deckard “We were made for each other”.

“More human than human is our motto.”

I think this is what some of the scientists of today will try to accomplish, too!

I’ve gone all through my special five-disc set for Blade runner and all the commentary, and I didn’t pick up on that. I think someone is “stretching it” a bit ... :-) ...
