So do you mean a horses patootie or evil.....whatever, it works.
A+++
A++ Can’t we send Obama home to Thailand, or Kenya, or even Chicago. Wherever.
My daughter showed me this last night and was stunned when I told her the correct colors (blue and black). She did not see it.
Oddly enough, I can see what the "gold and white" people see if I only look at the very top of the photo (scrolling the rest off the page).
Definitely the “other end” lol
Looks royal blue and black to me.
What determines what people see? I see only white and gold no matter how many times I see it.
I have no idea, it was just on Fox and the female said the same thing.
It is. But try, scrolling down like I said. Look just at the very top of the dress and see if the black bodice looks goldish.
Have to say I agree with whoever said on Twitter that with all of our current problems it’s mindboggling the amount of time spent on that dress and $&@:ing llamas.
It all depends on how your mind filters information. We see colors based on what light bounces off and enters our eyes. That can vary based on the type of light available and the background and other factors.
Your blue car looks blue in bright sunlight, and when it is overcast. Your mind compensates and “knows” that it is blue and not changing colors. But may look blackish at dusk.
Throw in the fact that sensing and displaying “black” is impossible. One of the factors used when evaluating TVs is how well they display black.
This photo is taken in bright sunshine, or with some other source of intense light. That light is bouncing off of the black.
Your mind either filters out that glare to see the black, or it focuses on the glare and sees gold.
It’s a fascinating, accidental insight into how peoples’ minds work.
I can see a hint of it, but not really. At the site, the first dress looks even more so, but I still see a washed out blue and black.
Yep, that was the article I was summarizing and explicating upon.
Doesn’t answer why people see diff things though, the pic posted on this thread, whatever BALANCE, is clearly white/gold to xsbaby and i but black and blue to you and soother.
The dress, in real life, is black and blue. So some combination of the photo and your perceptions are making you see something else.
Wasn’t it basically 50-50 how people saw it?
I don’t know. Probably something like that.
Cold-hearted dress which starts a fight
Removes the colors from our sight
Black is gold, and blue is white
But we decide which is right
And which is an illusion
We’re you even born when that song was out?
