Police say they have found the NASCAR race car stolen from a hotel parking lot near Atlanta Motor Speedway.
NASCAR’s Team XTREME says the car was found early Saturday northwest of Atlanta in Gwinnett County. The team tweeted a pictured of team owner John Cohen standing in front of the No. 44 Chevrolet, which was valued at $250,000 and appears undamaged.
The discovery comes too late to help the team, which was forced to withdraw from the weekend race at Atlanta. The car was stolen, along with the pickup truck and trailer that was hauling it, just a few hours before Travis Kvapil was to run in qualifying.
Can’t bend the rules? Just this once.
I was just watching a live interview with Danica Patrick on FNC and it was raining in the background. Just a heads up.

It’s weird seeing Jeff Gordon with the 3M logos. Did Hendrick poach that deal from Roush?

Roush has lost his two most talented drivers and some funding deals. That has to be problematic. And Penske has obviously become the flagship team at Ford.
It is interesting that 3M signed a 3 year deal with Gordon - wonder what they do the next 2 years...

What time is the race start? Looks like lots of empty seats. Maybe rain, snow?
I haven’t heard a start time yet. Last I heard on PRN is the track is almost dried out.
Very cold, low to mid 40s today.
Supposed to be a bit after 1 Eastern but they are drying the track. The commentators never tell you because they want you to hang on to the broadcast and watch commercials LOL.
My Accuweather app says 41F with fog (damp). More like football weather. When you see drivers wearing a winter coat OVER their driver suit, you know it’s chilly.

Gonna be an equipment and weather race
This has been an interesting race, so far.
Just got back to the race. Logano leads at 77..led all green laps.
My torture is I just snapped a front wheel stud on youngest son’s 91 Saturn. Was taking it off and it basically snapped using an x wrench.
Gave up for today.
He had complained of brake pulse like warped rotor. I’m thinking new tires 6 months ago and they torqued em way too tight.
