Op.68 -- Freiburger Barockorchester
I post this with a humble heart. It is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. I think it is as close to meeting heaven and Christ as I will get to on earth.
15:30 of talented, dedicated, wonderful musicians giving their all to a piece by Arcangelo Corelli (17 February 1653 8 January 1713)

My only complaint is that the strings aren as lush, and don't have the rich vibrato you get with the Mantovani Orchestra. And wouldn't an electric Wurlitzer have been a better choice instead of that tin piano thing for continuo? Maybe a couple of saxes, oh - a sax choir, too!
I'm going to hell, aren't I?

I was just sitting here wondering what movie/TV show it brought to mind ... thanks, would have kept me up all night until I thought of it. ;-)

No, not at all! Lol. You just know your music. It still is a wonderful presentation. I don’t know who these musicians are, or their names, but I wish I did. There is one very young man among them. He is obviously a genius. I wish there were more like him, but God gives us such people.

I dont know who these musicians are, I've seen the continuo player (the one on cembalo, not lute) in other productions, but I don't remember which. Maybe Acis and Galatea.

The two leads on violin (woman and man) are incredibly talented.

The version in the film is my favorite ever. Almost lackadaisical, dreamy, and wonderful. Correll was a true master.

Master and Commander? Yes - an incredible combination of music and scenery. The Director of that movie (Peter Weir) is man of intellect and inspiration.
