I don’t believe that the schools can punish the Illegals for not having shots - only Americans. That’s why this is spreading so quickly.

PDHS is more affluent and has fewer illegals than Palm Springs High, Cathedral City High or Indio High (other major HS in the area).
However, when I was enrolled at PSHS 25 years ago, we had to have our vaccines current before we were enrolled. Same with my Sister in law 15 years ago so I am not sure when district policy changed.
Sure, Americans get the short end of the stick. Was just scanning Fox news site at work and read about the Obamacare penalty with tax time coming up and learned that “undocumented immigrants” are excluded from being forced to carry health insurance, alas don’t need to pay the fine either. I used to love this country. Bleh.
Can a child that’s been vaccinated still get the disease? If you don’t want your child to get measles, vaccinate them.
Why if your child has been vaccinated would you worry that someone else’s kid wasn’t vaccinated? If your child is vaccinated they can’t get measles. The science still isn’t settled about the death and autism connection to vaccination
Don’t worry about the other kid.
But the GOP just got control so this will be corrected right away.

Republicans could have so much fun with hearings on this...but they won’t lift a finger, of course.
If the kids need a place to hang during the day, they can always go to Jenny McCarthy’s house.
I thought schools required all vaccinations be up to date before you could register. Many believe some of these vaccinations cause great harm. I don’t know, but my children were vaccinated with no ill effects.
If parents refuse the vaccinations, my opinion is that they should be prepared to educate their children outside the public school system.
