As DeflateGate video leaks, Patriots owner Robert Kraft and Seahawk's Richard Sherman feud

PHOENIX — The New England Patriots owner and Seattle Seahawks cornerback were trading insults while the NFL was reportedly reviewing video of a Patriots employee going into the bathroom with a bag of footballs.

Just when you thought Super Bowl Media Day couldn’t get any more bizarre...

Thanks to DeflateGate, though, there seems to be no limit to this theater of the absurd, which took yet another twist as the Patriots and Seahawks met a mass of reporters at the U.S. Airways Center on Tuesday. The backdrop was a report that the NFL had video of a Patriots locker room attendant carrying a bag of 24 balls into a bathroom, where he stayed for 90 seconds before the AFC Championship Game.

The main event, though, was Pats owner Robert Kraft saying his players viewed DeflateGate as “a bunch of hogwash” and striking back at Richard Sherman, two days after Seattle’s mouthy cornerback ripped NFL commissioner Roger Goodell for being too close to Kraft.

“I think Richard Sherman is a very smart marketing whiz,” Kraft deadpanned...

Only makes my NFL suggested motto more appropriate: “Our felons are better athletes than your felons.”

So, they are saying the guy adjusted his balls in the men’s room?

SO, here’s what sucks for Seattle and all the anti-Patriots folks:

You know the officials will be all over the footballs at the Superbowl like white on rice. If the Patriots still trounce the Seahawks... well... they beat you fair and square even after you made all that noise about them being cheaters. How stupid do you look now?

(For the record, I’m not really a football fan.)

I love Richard Sherman. Smart as Hell and knows how to get to people.

"If the Patriots still trounce the Seahawks... well... they beat you fair and square"

They'll just find another way to cheat against the cheating 'roid ridden Seahawks.

They should call it the Cheater's Bowl.

Maybe they can get Cheetos as a last minute stand-in sponsor.

I can’t believe Kraft let himself get drawn into trading insults with Richard Sherman.

(Amen! Well-framed)

Oh, & even more for me "cheating-wise" re: Seahawks is I believe they've led league in penalties last two seasons...2013-2014...not easy to do when a lot of those penalties have been 5 yd defensive holding/illegal contact type of stuff by dbs...vs 10 yd offensive holding & any 15 yarders.

I didn’t read the article, but I did listen to Sherman’s interview. He was just pointing out that nothing will happen with regards to this that will impact the Superbowl. And he thought there was an element of “conflict of interest” with Goodel having dinner at Kraft’s home the day before the Conference game.

All of the other interviews I’ve seen of the Seahawks minimize the ball thing. Coach Carrol said he was unaware of the ball protocal as well and what is all involved in that - well, now he does. Same as Bellicheck not knowing. Carrol also didn’t think it would affect the Patriots game or be a distraction. Except to motivate the Patriots.

Oh, and Kraft is right. Sherman IS a marketing whiz.

SO, here’s what sucks for Seattle and all the anti-Patriots folks: You know the officials will be all over the footballs at the Superbowl like white on rice.

Well, why? Can't understand ANY need to monitor the Patriots' off-the-field antics. (You DO know they're as pure-as-white-rice, doncha?)

SO, here’s what sucks for Seattle and all the anti-Patriots folks:...If the Patriots still trounce the Seahawks... well... they beat you fair and square even after you made all that noise about them being cheaters. How stupid do you look now?

Let me get this straight, using a parallel scenario:

You're telling us that if a Dem Congressional or POTUS candidate "trounces" his opponent in November...
...after...
...allegations of dead-voters & voters voting multiple times emerge from the primary race...
...a race that the Democratic candidate may have won anyway -- minus the shenanigans...
...that any FREEPERs commenting upon said Democratic shenanigans...
...would "look...stupid"???

Did I get that right?

(And you call yourself a "conservative" why again?)

The question still remains, who told him to adjust his balls?

Richard Sherman is actually a very bright guy, very well-spoken, a Stanford grad whose parents are both very hardworking family people (his father has driven a garbage truck for 30 years). There is a video on YouTube of Sherman taking apart Skip Bayless, very calmly and very directly. Bayless, who is happy to write books with little backup on things such as Troy Aikman being secretly gay (with no factual support for it) is basically speechless.

And, is it only because this lockerroom attendant may have pulled a "Lynch" by adjusting his balls on video -- versus a more private location...that said attendant could be fined by the NFL...a video shot which, btw, may soon be available at the NFL Shop for $149.95...
