“ The police asked for the fathers ID, and when he refused, called six patrol cars as backup. Alexander went upstairs, and the police called out that if he came down with anything else in his hand shots would be fired,
When did the constitution get amended to allow fascism?”
Many, far too many, PolicePersons see their job as protecting their own ‘precious persons’ and preserving their pensions. Whatever they want to do to the non-police population is largely allowed by law, up to and including open executions for fun/profit.
Time to remove all elected officers who are not Strict Constitutionalists.
Yes the good old days. I was 6 years old walking miles away from my home also—catching fish or crawdads.
Of course cops back then were rarely seen and if you did see them they only had a .38 revolver on them and didn’t look/act like Darth Vader.
“Were the children walking without helmets, knee and elbow pads, shin guards and mouth protectors?”
And had the females all been subjected to a genital wart vaccine?
And then the nanny staters wonder why all the kids are fat - because it is illegal for the parents to do almost anything except sit at home in front of the TV or play video games.
Pedophiles are born not made, and I doubt very much that their percentage of society as a whole is any greater than it was a century ago.
Back in the day, pedophilia was very much "hushed up" by the courts and media. Almost never made the news. Today, we see every accused pedophile's mug shot on tv and on the net.
5. People that see bad things happening seem to reach for a cell phone to take video rather than help someone in trouble.
Most adults (especially men when alone) are now afraid to help a lost or crying child on the street. Any idea why?? Think about your erroneous paragraph (4) and you might arrive at a clue.
At the age of 5, I walked to and from kindergarten alone. I was walked home for a few weeks, then after they were sure I knew the way, they let me go on my own. Both parents worked. When I was 6 and in first grade, it was my job to walk my sister home from her kindergarten. Different times. Had to cross a couple big roads and train tracks. Froze a couple times. Frankly, I wouldn’t let my kids walk to school in a similar neighborhood until maybe age 10 or 12, but it depends on the distance, route and neighborhood. What these parents did is great. It’s none of the government’s business if the parents have chosen to let their kids learn how to be independent.
The other was a 23-year-old woman, the daughter of a person who had hired Mr. Clark to do odd jobs around her house.
The details of these cases are more gruesome than most serial killer cases. Clark is also suspected of other murders in other states.
Clarks brother Bradfield is also in prison for a strangulation murder he committed in California.
Good grief - when I was 10 my friends and I would go on day-long summer bike hikes miles away from home, including going to places that I would be afraid to drive through today. We didn’t wear dorky helmets, either.
