I see scriptural mandates for individuals, churches and governments to take care of the poor.

There are exceptions to the Principle of Comparative Advantage. Trading with countries with excess labor when you have high unemployment is one. It only makes sense to free up resources when the labor markets are tight.

The Mexicans are dying to get in, because they can work at below minimum wage, and take jobs away from law abiding Americans. So yeah there are jobs for them, but it’s not right, and it’s eroding the rule of law.
