He is not a rapist.

Agreed. Those calling the lack of an indictment a conspiracy are no better than the Ferguson protesters.

He's immature, and needs to grow up, but I see nothing that would be alarming other than the Publix incident.

It will be fun to see how much trouble he gets into once he’s out in the real world and has a few dollars in his pocket.

The Publix incident is a weird one, too.

According to my inside info, Jameis was sent to Publix to pick up the crab legs. If you watch the video, he casually walks in, straight to the counter, a guy hands him the crab legs, he casually walks out.

A couple of things that are hinky here - not common knowledge is that there was no price tag on the crab legs. Jameis was told to pick them up - we do not know by whom. If it were a coach or a booster, there could be NCAA trouble for both the team and the person that arranged for the pick up and the store (if they were not paid for by a third party). A manager who was not in on the arrangement called the cops. Jameis then falls on his sword for the team and/or booster and confesses to a theft he didn’t commit. The store refuses to press charges (Publix is a large chain and that decision was not made by a lowly store manager). Without the store willing to press charges, there is no crime.

Jameis did not at the time of the incident think he was stealing. He was just picking up an order that had been called in.

Now the REAL question is...was this an NCAA violation? Is a booster or the school itself buying food for the players against NCAA rules?

Right. I’d put JF in the same showboat class as Winston. Lots of attemps, lots of picks. Mariota is an OK runner. They have Royce Freeman. A smart QB runs when they need to. I think Mariota fits into that category.

I would say you might be on to something in this case but if the store manager isn’t aware that it is pre-paid, why would a booster be so stupid as to fly his butt up a flag-pole.

That is weird. I don’t know why either party (Winston or the boosters) would risk everything for some seafood.

I don’t recall Winston being convicted of anything. You sound like a Ferguson protestor.

If he is comfortable in the pocket, and doesn't throw a lot of picks and can read NFL defenses, he may turn out to be good.

The Eagles and 49ers burning out, while Manning and Brady continue to prosper, prove that this running outside the pocket business and gimmicky offenses don't cut it in the NFL.

Depending on his Wunderlic score; he will be more like Vince Young or JaMarcus Russell.

Mariota is much better than an “OK Runner”.

Yes, Harrington. I believe he’s now a somewhat successful broadcaster.

Please...Stephen Hawking could have gone for a thousand yards this season in the Sisters of the Poor PAC-12...After all of the hype and the, gee, ain’t left coast life grand hoopla of this season, the worst thing that could have happened to Oregon was to have to actually play a good football team and FSU is coming to town...With all of the hate shown to FSU and Jameis in particular, FSU will be one motivated football team, come game time. There were a lot of reasons as to why Winston did not have a great statistical year, primarily among them was the fact that the coaching wanted to down play Jameis’s role in the success of the team. As was obvious in so many of their games, the first half game plan got tossed out the window and the coaches turned to Jameis and asked him to pull the game out for them. He did every time...I suggest for your reading pleasure, check out the scoring recap of the Louisville game who at the time had the #1 yardage defense in the country...These are the second half touchdowns by FSU when the game hung in the balance:

Drive Summary

3 Plays, 74 Yds, 1:31

5 Plays, 80 Yds, 2:16

4 Plays, 65 Yds, 0:48

1 Play, 38 Yds, 0:09

3 Plays, 39 Yds, 0:26

Marizona did nothing comparable the entire season...

To paraphrase Walter White:

FSU is not in danger of losing in these playoffs...FSU IS the danger...

Great summation. Wait until the SEC cult arrives, and talks about how the FSU winning streak was a combination of luck and a weak schedule.

When you’re entitled you’ll find it hard to be convicted of anything—think OJ.

You defending this thug Winston?
You sound like a Sharpton supporter!

Actually I am a staunch advocate of the fundamentals of American Jurisprudence: Innocent until proven guilty. This isn't Europe.

I am a man who was facing a huge chunk of my life to be spent in Ft Leavenworth.....all because everyone jumped on what the media said, and ignored the plain evidence. In the end, I was acquitted; but it cost me dearly. So yeah, I will stick up for anyone that is getting railed in the media, and condemned by everyone else.

So screw you, and anyone else who would make me to be a Sharpton supporter.
