Open bowl thread
Late second quarter, refs wave off a BYU defensive pass interference after claim ball was tipped.
(Instant replay -- no tip at line...only tip by BYU interception player...result? Free ref-provided td for BYU)
Otherwise...hi-scoring first half.
BYU...first 1 1/2 quarters...an unsportmanslike conduct penalty...an unnecessary roughness penalty...a facemask penalty...A real testimony, I would say.
Commentators mentioned penalties been an issue for BYU during season.
Are these on-going threads started for each bowl game?
I love all these early bowl games.
I’m at work right now - but am eyeballing the game from my desk.
I’m rooting for Memphis.

You have a new nickname. Stretch.
Actually, I believe Utah has more Mormon players than BYU.
Been a good game so far. BYU was ahead until Memphis scored from the 1. They now lead 31-28.
Go Memphis, those historical sad sacks need a break. Sitting in Memphis now.
The one being played at the ridiculously ugly baseball stadium where the Orange Bowl used to be?
Two Memphis turnovers in a matter of minutes and BYU has scored twice taking the game from 38-28 to a 38-38 tie.
Three Memphis turnovers in the last few minutes has led to 17 unanswered points by BYU. Amazing. It’s now BYU 45-38
Tiger win in double OT, wish I could have seen this one on TV, listened to radio
Thought I turned on a UFC cage match but turns out it was the end of this game. Memphis won 55-48, intercepted in dbl OT and won it. They immediately went over to BYU’s bench and began taunting them. It was on then, plenty of punches all around.
And byu goes down...and a brawl at end of game...great “testimony” byu!
