Chicago thieves adopt 'crash-and-grab' tactics

CHICAGO (AP) — All the burglars use the same audacious tactics: A vehicle crashes through a storefront in the wee hours and up to six people in dark clothing and ski masks pour out, grabbing whatever they can with the speed of a NASCAR pit crew.

Then the thieves dash out over the broken glass to a waiting getaway car.

Since September, at least a dozen "crash-and-grab" burglaries have been reported at retail businesses in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Some targeted high-end businesses, including a Neiman Marcus store on the famed Magnificent Mile. Others struck less affluent locations such as a pawn shop on the South Side and clothing stores on the far West Side.

You really have to admire the entrepreneurial skills of these looters.

Why waste time breaking the doors down with rocks. Time is money.

Crash, loot and drive off.

We really are an exceptional country.

They see it as REPARATIONS.

Normal people figger....

1. They take stuff
2. They feel bad

In fact #2 is wrong —they’re NOT feeling bad.

They think “The Man” OWES them this stuff.

My immediate thought as a business owner in that area, would be to get a double fence, made of iron posts. That would be expensive for a 7/11 type store, but in some areas, you need that.

A small, strategically placed charge of high explosive might produce interesting results.

Tear gas programed to go off with illegal entry might be fun.

If they put their talents toward a legitimate purpose, they’d be rich.

THAT, Mr. Biden, is why free citizens NEED 30 rounds!

A half-dozen folks napping on broken glass would be a great deterrent.

I know of a business that was hit in this manner a couple of years ago where they drove through a cinder block wall and blocked some of the activity with a vehicle parked next to it.

I wonder if when they rebuilt the wall, if they put iron or steel poles inside the cinder blocks for reinforcement against a repeat occurrence).

A London Mall - November 2012 - "It was like a James Bond film," one witness said. The crew made off with about $3.1 million in watches, jewels and other valuables.

Standard bumper post would do it.

I really like the security videos on these crimes.

Late at night, completely peaceful, dim light, then - BOOM! - a car drives right through the front door.

Crash-and-Grab tactics. A perfect metaphor for the way Boehner, Reid and Obola are destroying America.
