Most Insane Ski Line Ever

The camera-wielding owners and athletes behind Crested Butte’s Matchstick Productions had been eyeing that line in Alaska’s Tordrillo Mountains for years. Last winter, snow conditions were perfect and the crew put the line on the to-do list. Cody Townsend stepped up and dropped into the ridiculously narrow chasm.

You would think so but no, more likely the high 30's to mid 40's. There were sections in that chute where you could see him edging and trying to check his speed, especially towards the top where it was widest and he was able to make a couple small turns.

Typically your world cup downhillers max out at around 80 - 85 mph on the worlds' steepest courses....

In any event, that was pretty impressive, something I'd never have tried when I was young.

I hear ya, I took my last ski vacation back in 2003. I finally got smart, I told myself why the hell should I leave Michigan in the winter time to go someplace else where it's winter........That's just dumb!
