Mild down south....At about 64 degrees at 630pm, and just a mild on shore breeze...Just a beautiful day today...

The Sierras need as much snow as the big mother can provide.

They are calling for 140 MPH winds in my area. Lot of big old Ponderosa trees may be going down.

We’ve had a lot of wind about 120 miles north in Roseburg but it’s been in the 50s all day. Enjoy the snow.

I just came in from tying everything down and moving inside whatever I could and then shoring our creek. Northern California is going to get hit much harder than the Bay Area. The winds are already pounding. My property is on a ridge that gets slammed by wind coming up from the small valley below. Fortunately the rain is going to to hit a bit later — probably 6-8:00 am. Eighteen years ago the main road that we use to get anywhere was flooded for two weeks (I didn't live here at the time). There is an emergency access gate that will allow me to access the roads out the back way so first thing tomorrow I'm going to buy a pair of bolt cutters to have in the event I need to cut the chain on that gate.
