In order to justify the crush of medically unnecessary regulations on abortion clinics in recent years, it's become common for anti-choicers to pose as the protectors of women's health. Considering how much more dangerous childbirth is than abortion, this has always been a farcical claim, but now it appears some anti-choice activists are taking it a step further and actively encouraging women to take what could be a very serious risk to their health. Elizabeth Kulze at Vocativ reports that a crisis pregnancy center in Iowa (called the Women's Choice Center, one of the more obnoxious examples of anti-choice centers trying to trick you into thinking they provide abortion) is offering "abortion reversals" to women who are halfway through a medication abortion.

Depends on which patient you are referring to.
As always, the main goal of the pro-abortionists is a dead baby.
So, now it’s “anti-choice” if you CHOOSE to have a baby instead of aborting it?
And the statistics have always shown that abortions are more dangerous to the mother than live births.
She writes like John Semmens, with one difference.
She’s serious.
(yeah, I know who she is).
Abortions and even miscarriages come with many dangers!!!!! Childbirth is NATURAL~!
Abortions cause an increase in breast cancer dangers. Plus the body doesn’t go through the natural progression of pregnancy, and there are many complications. Heck I had a miscarriage and I had a LOT of complications from that! Then I was blessed to have three babies, whom I adore, all grown up now!
“Considering how much more dangerous childbirth is than abortion...”
Dangerous for whom? Certainly not for the child!
This just shows how the pro-death crowd thinks. It doesn’t even cross their minds that two people (at least) are affected by abortion.
Abortion Activist Angry That Pro-Life Doctors are Saving Babies by Reversing Abortion Pill
by Kelsey Hazzard | Washington, DC | LifeNews.com
Id like to think that if I were pro-choice, I wouldnt be freaking out about abortion pill reversal.
In a nutshell: a mother who takes the first pill (misoprostol) of the chemical abortion, then regrets it, is prescribed the pregnancy hormone progesterone to prevent the embryos death. While nobodys suggesting it will work 100% of the timeobviously if the misoprostol has already killed the embryo, theres nothing you can doearly intervention could provide women with the ability to affect their choice for life. Thats both pro-life and pro-choice, right?
Of course, Amanda Marcotte begs to differ. And she really ties herself in knots doing it.
ru48616First, she cant decide whether misoprostol is effective by itself or not. First she says that it is effective, just not ideal:
Misoprostol can work on its ownmany black-market abortion pills are just misoprostolbut, according to the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, taking the mifepristone improves the likelihood of a safe, complete abortion.
But then Marcotte quotes Dr. Daniel Grossman from Ibis Reproductive Health (which supports abortion), who completely disagrees. In his account, misoprostol is highly ineffective, to the point that an abortion pill reversal amounts to a placebo:
Mifepristone by itself is not an effective abortion regimen, he said, and so many women who just take the first pill will not miscarry if they simply dont take the second. If he had a patient who changed her mind halfway through, he explained, he would recommend doing nothing and monitoring the pregnancy to make sure its continuing normally. Marcotte also cant decide where she stands on the safety of the progesterone injections. In one breath, she denounces it as a dangerous experiment.* (Of course, when abortionists deviate from the FDA protocol for the abortion pills themselves, killing eight women in the process, the correct term is making it easier on the patient.) In the next, she returns to Dr. Grossman, who says that the progesterone probably wont hurt a woman if shes under medical supervision. Which she would be, because shockingly, pro-life doctors are doctors too.
With all these contradictions its hard to figure out what Marcottes really getting at until the pieces final quote. Dr. Grossman is concerned that the advertising of this procedure could mislead the public about the prevalence of abortion regret. In my experience caring for women seeking abortion, they dont go into this lightly. Theyre very clear about their decision
Cant have women running wild through your carefully manicured narrative.
*The reversal protocol is only two years old, so published research is scant. Id certainly like to see more. So far, though, theres nothing to suggest that progesterone is harmful to pregnant women who have taken misoprostol. Thats unsurprising, since progesterone is naturally present in a pregnant womans body."
