No equipment is needed to sit and stand without any support
People can score a maximum of 10 points, with 1 point deducted for putting a hand or leg for stability, and half a point docked for wobbling
Patients who scored fewer than eight points, were twice as likely to die within the next six years, compared with people with more perfect scores

BTW, there is a video at the link showing the “exercise” and scoring.
Obviously a test of agility and balance.
I hurt my back several years ago and can’t do that. I’m still kicking. I thank God it’s been more then six years!
Re: Step 4—How can you stand without using your knees?
Zero points for me.
According to this test, I am already dead.
Good for you, SBG Girl! All progress is good!
I used to do this all the time. Today, is was not as flawless. :o(
Look at video at the link.
Significant risk of medial meniscus injury with that move.
I couldn’t do that in my 20’s, let alone now.
My back is destroyed too.

Very nice. I love tests where you measure your progress. I have been conscious of getting out of my seat without using my hands or pulling/pushing.
It’s all helpful.
Do I get extra life points for being able to do this without spilling my liquid lunch?
This test is ridiculous. I am 61 years old, have worked out in the gym for two hours every day for the last 700 days, and I can’t do it.
I’ll stick to aerobics and weights!
Not if you don't have any. lol.
