Rise in Crop Production increasing levels of Carbon Dioxide in Atmosphere
Maine News ^ | 11/21/2014 | Betty Laseter

Scientists have revealed that levels of carbon dioxide increase in the Northern Hemisphere during summers each year as plants absorb carbon dioxide to convert sunlight into food. The CO2 levels again rise as the plants release CO2 after the growing season.

Scientists have found that corn, rice, wheat and soybean are the four leading crops that account for maximum CO2 release in the atmosphere of Northern Hemisphere. Crops act as sponge for CO2 and it could be said that the sponge effect has become bigger because of the advancements in agricultural techniques, leading to more production. There is a sharp rise in demand of food production because of growing population across the world, which means that the levels of CO2 will only increase in coming years.

Researchers have also showed that agricultural production is likely to account for 25% surge in the seasonal carbon cycle. And corn will play a leading role.

Hey, let’s not make fun of the reporter who’s only telling us what the researchers say...

Yeah - CO2 levels increase when crops absorb more of it. That can only make sense to an absolute moron. (No offense intended to morons.)

These people are insane.

Since 1961, the production of these four crops in the Northern Hemisphere has jumped more than twice, leading to absorb a billion metric tons of carbon captured and released each year.

And they invoke "Basic research" ?

So, more C02 equals more food which equals more people which equals more c02.

Without saying so directly, they are saying that people are the problem.

“Hey, let’s not make fun of the reporter who’s only telling us what the researchers say...”

I’m not much of a grammar guy but even I know that shown would sound a lot more better here

“Researchers have also showed that agricultural production is likely to account for 25% surge in the seasonal carbon cycle.”

I vote we go ahead and make fun of her.

The earth atmosphere only has 0.038 percent Carbon dioxide so it should take Millions of years to kill us

Nonsense. Plants fix more carbon and grow faster when there is more carbon dioxide in the air. Fungi also play a part which is never mentioned. The concentration of CO2 is 3-400ppb, a minuscule part of the air and not enough to effect climate. The real multiplier of heat is water—something the enviro wacks dare not touch as the very basis of life cannot be extirpated in their search of commie hell. But the entire premise is wrong; this is all political; hang on to your wallet—which is what they really want.

Plants take in CO2 and create 0xygen in photosynthesis (as well as plant products— like corn, wheat etc. Respiration uses oxygen and gives off CO2, and this is a balanced two processes. The more C02 release.... the more oxygen is produced.

So this article is total BS and full of S.

They made fun of Reagan for saying this— and he was Right!

The real agenda is that they hate humanity, including themselves, and want us to off ourselves. Once you understand that, everything else makes sense.

I don’t see how crops are much different than any other plants that grow during the warmer months and die off in the winter.
