Robin of Berkeley Returns!
self ^ | 11/13/14 | crusher

I was recently delighted to note the return of the incomparable Robin of Berkeley to the ranks of the blogosphere. Her insights are among the most thoughtful and revealing I have encountered on the web, and I am overjoyed at her return from a self imposed exile of almost two years, during which she posted only about a half dozen missives. In the past few weeks she has penned another half dozen, and I am profoundly hopeful that her output continues and increases.

She is a recovering atheist leftist psychotherapist whose skewering of the insanity that is the Left is priceless.

Keep it up, Robin, and welcome back from a devoted fan!

What good news! Do you, by any chance, have a LINK to an article or something?

IIRC she’s been in poor health. Hope she’s well now.

I just read her blog. Why does she not leave that place? -—which is the same thing I tell folks who are terminally critical of Texas, the USA or wherever. I guess she would not have an entertaining blog is she did.

AWESOME!!!

I keep this one from 2010 in favs, and break it out frequently. Absolutely nailed it. especially in light of what we’ve seen in the past week.

Worth reading the whole thing, if you haven’t already. But here is the summation

..........................

“What Is Wrong With Barack Obama”

http://thpatriots.blogspot.com/2010/10/shrink-asks-what-is-wrong-with-barack.html

Let’s return now to my original question: What is wrong with Obama? My guess is a great deal. The answer is complex and likely includes some combination of the above.

Along with the brain issues are personality disorders: narcissism, paranoia, passive-aggressiveness. There’s even the possibility of the most destructive character defect of all, an antisocial personality. Untreated abuse can foster antisocial traits, especially among boys.

If my assessment is accurate, what does this mean?

It means that liberals need to wake up and spit out the Kool-Aid...and that conservatives should put aside differences, band together, and elect as many Republicans as possible.

Because Obama will not change. He will not learn from his mistakes. He will not grow and mature from on-the-job experience. In fact, over time, Obama will likely become a more ferocious version of who he is today.

Why? Because this is a damaged person. Obama’s fate was sealed years ago growing up in his strange and poisonous family. Later on, his empty vessel was filled with the hateful bile of men like Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers.

Obama will not evolve; he will not rise to the occasion; he will not become the man he was meant to be. This is for one reason and one reason alone:

He is not capable of it.

Yes. Very pleasantly surprised she is writing again.

We, it's her life and pulling up stakes can be difficult. I understand not wanting to chuck everything and move. IIRC, her husband is a liberal and that may factor into a move.

I wish she would enable comments again, but I understand that she was dealing with a LOT of leftist vitriol and very little of it was civil, at all. I would like to tell her "welcome back to the fight". She is a shining light.

Why am i not surprised? Robin's Congresscritter is Barbara Lee.

Berkley doesn't have a chance.

People don’t have to live in any particular place to have the right stuff in their heads. Take a look at Austin, Texas for example.

And I left Austin...too many UT zombies and liberals. Let them have it.

Berkeley can be a very entertaining place to live.

Here's John Yoo on living in Berkeley:

DC: You’ve been teaching at UC Berkeley’s law school for more than 20 years now. Obviously your political orientation stands a bit against the prevailing political winds here. What initially attracted you here, and what’s kept you around?

JY: It’s one of the great universities in the world, and one of the great law schools in the world. I’ve always thought myself very fortunate to have gotten a position here.

I’ve always lived in liberal environments. The only time I’ve ever worked in a conservative environment was two years in the Bush administration, and I can’t say I enjoyed it all that much. I’m used to being surrounded by liberals. Liberals make better food, they have entertaining cultural activities, they’re good at making handmade items. It’s always good to live in liberal towns, I think. Conservatives are not having any fun in conservative towns.

Wonderful news. Robin has been missed...greatly. The lady has a head on her shoulders which includes a brain that is used.
Welcome back, Robin.
