(And if you missed it, Oct. 29 was National Cat Day, a full 24-hour celebration of kitties that encourages the adoption of shelter cats.)
Read on to see just how wonderful life with a feline can be and consider adopting a
shelter cat of your own.

he was so agitated, I got up and looked out he window
saw a man trying to break into my car.

Yes, and my furry alarm clock is set at 5 a.m.! There is no instruction manual for this type of clock.

Is a cat going to jump into cold water an retrieve a duck for me?
Then I don't want one.

With all that cats do for us studies show they lower blood pressure I had one that did - usually by draining a pint of blood from me when she and I disagreed about what she should do.

I am horrendously allergic to cats. When the girls were little, one of them asked if we could get a kitty.
"No, honey, momma can't live in the same house as a cat because it makes me sneeze."
Her reply? "We promise to visit you every day, Mom!"
