Once again Baylor has been exposed as a fraud team and the kicker kicked OU out of playoff contention. We found out the worst team in the SEC West, Arkansas, would not win the SEC Least. LOL! Florida has completely imploded. Would the Old Ball Coach leave the Other USC to save his alma mater? The simulated ranking has the 1 loss Alabama teams over undefeated FSU due to higher computer and strength of schedule. Bit of a down weekend coming up with the marquee matchup on paper being Ole Miss visiting LSU.

The winner of the Egg Bowl should play the winner of the Iron Bowl for the National Championship.

It'll be interesting..given that two SEC West teams will make the final four, how the committee seeds them. Let's say that MSU and Bama, by consensus, should be ranked 1 &2...there's no way the committee will want to set up a scenario that could have two teams from the same conference playing for the title. Therefore, I predict that no matter what happens, the two SEC teams that make the playoffs will play each other in the semi-final.

Spurrier's had a tough season..it's showing in his post game pressers. No way he takes the Gator job..I actually think he might retire at the end of the season, or announce that next season will be his last. If he's unable to look at recruits and tell them that he'll be there to coach them for 2-3 more years..he won't lie to them.

My hope for Florida is that Texas boosters are dumb enough to get Charlie Strong fired, so that Gators can hire him..He'd be perfect.

“Back in the day”, John McKay would’ve been shocked a apalled to not see USC anywhere other than the Top 3...

I forget about the Miss State coach is part of the Urban Meyer coaching tree and I bet Florida will have a blank check with Mullen’s name on it and he can fill in the amount.

I’m at a loss how FSU is ranked #5. Sure, they’ve been falling behind across all stats, but they’ve clawed back in 4th quarter triumphs like I’ve never seen.

FSU is still ranked #2 in AP, ESPN, and the ESPN power rankings. They may be ragtag compared to last year’s dominant powerhouse, but they’re still winning games.

I’m not sure..Mullen’s a god now in the state..and
he has a young team, AND the 12th ranked recruiting class for next year. He’s on a roll, and can anticipate 2-3 more strong seasons. Why jump into the Swamp now? Florida has a lousy recruiting class for next season..it’ll take 3 years to turn it around..who needs that? MSU can’t match Gator money, but they’ll give him a nice increase, and extend his contract. He’ll stay..

I’m no expert but... having Auburn and ‘Bama ahead of FSU with one loss each while FSU is still inbeaten. That’s not right.

I’m an Alabama fan, but Miss State is the anti-seminoles. I saw Dak Prescott being interviewed in pre-season, and he was one of the most impressive young men I’ve seen in a long time. He is polite, humble, and focused. I have been nothing but impressed with that team and their comportment.

Not a joke, Baylor Fan: TCU beat TCU in waco... then they bounced back with a statement win against a top 15 team while the Bears lost soundly to unranked W Va., and showed their penalty-prone ways. Frogs deserve their ranking ahead of Baylor without question!

Baylor didn't lose to WV, it lost to the referees there! I have never seen a worse refereed game in my life! from beginning to end the refs were throwing flags which not only kept moving WV down the field when they hadn't really earned it, but the constant flags slowed the pace of the game considerably and kept Baylor from developing a rhythm. Baylor plays a very fast offense, which is part of their strategy. The constant flags kept them from rushing the plays and catching the WV defense off guard.

No worries though because TCU will probably lose to West Virginia this week and all will work itself out.

The guy I think we can get is David Cutcliffe from Duke.

He’s already worked with Roper, and I think they could turn things around fairly quickly. Cutcliffe knows the SEC and Florida State.

Mullen might be the new Icon in the $EC, but money talks and Florida has deep pockets. Even Ohio State might be in a coaching search if Urban Myer loses to Michigan State and a loses meaningless bowl game. Urban's family simply will no longer let him boil in the pressure cooker known as OSU football.

It’s just BS SEC propaganda. The whole ranking system is based on the flawed assumption at the beginning of the year that South Carolina and Texas A&M were very good teams. Every “SEC West domination” story has emanated from those two mistaken rankings.

So you're suggesting that the Buckeyes hire an SEC coach with a proven winning record, to replace another former SEC coach with an ( until then) proven winning record? The Big Ten is now the Big 4, and it's going to be years before a big 10 team gets into the 4 team playoff...strength of schedule dooms them. If there is a Big 10 on the rise, it's Penn State...they'll win the conference in 2 years.

I guess that settles it...The SEC is the only football conference in this country...FSU #5...really?

It has been fun watching the SEC manipulate the rankings this year in order to push 4 teams into the AP top 5...Remind me now...isn’t the SEC the same conference that had the two greatest teams of all-time just last year? How badly did these SEC teams decimate their opponents in their bowl games? Oh my, that’s right, I forgot...Once again the SEC conference is the greatest football conference in...the SEC...with a playoff format, the only way that the SEC wins the title is if all of the other teams are SEC teams...keep dreaming...
