4300 people on board, the infected couple are not allowed to enter belize to get a flight home and the ship won't let them back aboard. I wonder if they will quarantine the whole ship?

No one on that ship or who has ever been on that ship is “Ebola Stricken.”

Don’t nurses have a clue about not traveling around after tending to a seriously infectious-diseased patient?

When the US Government refuses to implement a rational transportation ban, actual documented treatment ‘protocols’ and answer up for its incompetency, we will see more of this ad hoc imposition - quarantine - being implemented in ways that will boggle the mind.

The CDC was supposed to have been the world’s authority on infectious diseases; they should have stepped up to the plate ready to go instead of checking to see if the ‘protocols’ matched the politics.

She is lucky. My sister was taken off a cruise ship there in August this year, and she languished four days in a third-world cinder-brick “medical physical” that Carnival utilizes for sick passengers - it is not much more than bricks according to her husband who is a Nurse at Fort Hood.

And you know this for sure how? This is being reported by a government entity, not a US media obama bootlicking servant.

Just found 2 articles with additional info, links & excerpts below.

belizean.com

“Confirmed with representatives of the Ministry of Health that they have indeed received a report that there is at least one passenger on board the cruise ship, Carnival Magic, showing symptoms similar to that of the Ebola virus. According to the report made to MOH, the person exhibiting the symptoms did not come ashore today. The ship is reportedly carrying 3652 passengers and a total population of 4633 persons.

“The Carnival Magic departed from Galveston Texas on Sunday, October 12 arrived in Mahogany Bay, Honduras on Wednesday October 15 and arrived in Belize this morning, Thursday October 16.

“The ship was scheduled to leave Belize en route to Cozumel this evening at 5pm. However, it is still anchored in Belizean waters near State Bank Caye.”

“We have also have confirmed that the Belize Coast Guard has been deployed to prevent anyone from leaving the ship; including the Belizean pilot on board.”

washingtonpost.com
The employee, who has not been named, did not come into direct contact with Duncan, who was the first patient diagnosed with Ebola in the United States. However, he or she may have been exposed to his clinical specimens.

“It has been 19 days since the passenger may have processed the [Duncan's] fluid samples,” according to the statement released early Friday. “The cruise line has actively supported CDC’s efforts to speak with the individual, whom the cruise ship’s medical doctor has monitored and confirmed was in good health. Following this examination, the hospital employee and traveling partner have voluntarily remained isolated in a cabin.

If they do indeed have Ebola, it sounds like they will not make it.

Color me doubtful. This sounds too over the top, even for the ebola story, which I admit gets stranger and stranger.

They don’t have Ebola. The article says they are Ebola stricken, but goes on to say they have “Ebola like symptoms” but no fever. Thanks Obama. The chances these people have Ebola is about 0-none.

4300 people. Ouch. Do they all have to stay on the ship for 21 days after it returns to port?

If you go out and get shit faced drunk while dancing in the rain, YOU'LL wake up with ebola like symptoms TOO.

I'm not far from convinced there is no REAL ebola in America and there is certainly no pandemic, nor threat of one.

All those little kids came in over a year (or so) ago, the border has been open since 1950, and we have been hearing about ebola on an average of a hundred times a day for the last month and a half and one ... maybe two .. people have died and hundreds quarantined

The hundreds quarantined are there because someone's afraid there MIGHT be ebola ... not that there is.

This is just more of the little gran'ma in a wheel chair being strip searched in an airport and letting the four suspicious looking 30 year old, middle eastern men with no luggage and a one way ticket pass with hardly a blink.

I would not be so sure. They are now reporting Vinson had symptoms but no fever days before she was admitted...

Stranger and stranger indeed. Interesting that one nurse is on a cruise ship trip after being part of the treatment team of a patient known to have Ebola...and another flying on a commercial plane with no problem whatsoever. Meanwhile President Obola is attempting to appear as the comforting savior and shield against a pandemic panic. So much theater and hype amidst the reality.

It’s the incompetence of our gub’mint that we’re more afraid of than the actual disease at this point. However, I agree that Ebola is very convenient indeed for covering up the recent mess at the border and that pesky ISIS problem.

There are a lot of sharks lawyers in this country of ours. Has she contacted any of them? Sounds like the cruise line is the deep pocket!

I agree. Ye olde "never let a good crisis go to waste" method at work (and if you don't have an actual crisis, create one). Also, this keeps people's focus on Ebola instead of whatever other nefarious deeds going on. Have the ISIS jihadists decided to put their public beheadings on hold while we tend to the Ebola issue?
