Supreme Court declines to intervene in gay marriage cases

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to take up the hotly contested issue of gay marriage, a surprise move that will allow gay men and women to marry in five states where same-sex weddings were previously banned.

By rejecting appeals in cases involving Virginia, Oklahoma, Utah, Wisconsin and Indiana, the court left intact lower-court rulings that struck down bans in those states.

Other states under the jurisdiction of appeals courts that struck down the bans will also be affected, meaning the number of states with gay marriage is likely to quickly jump from 19 to 30.

It's spreading like Ebola.

Looks like the Supreme Court needs some law books and someone to explain to them what we the people means.

Then, pretty soon I should have a constitutional right to marry more than ONE person!

It is coming. The same legal arguments that are used to justify homosexual marriage, can and will be used to justify polygamy and group marriage, and possibly incestuous marriages.

The fix is in regarding homosexual marriage. Last year’s cases on the subject revealed that five out of nine Supreme Court justices are in favor of homosexual marriage. It’s a matter of time as to when they decide to impose it on all 50 states.

And then shortly after that happens, those in favor of polygamy and group marriage and “triads” will come out of the woodwork, and demand their equal rights, based on the same legal arguments used to push homosexual marriage.

In other words, marriage will be meaningless.

Let my tell you why this is a complete and utter defeat on this issue.

Four Justices in our “conservative” SCOTUS did NOT vote to take these up. They permitted the Circuit Court decisions to stand. Think about that. Not even four wanted to overturn the Circuits. ALL they are doing is just biding their time as they do when there is a big societal shift taking place on an issue.

IF any of the Circuits remaining uphold any State restriction on gay “marriage” then they will eventually resolve it. And be assured there is no chance in the world they will uphold such a decision. Just not taking these cases sends a signal to the remaining Courts. And even if a Circuit panel upholds any State, it won’t be upheld en banc.

The only thing SCOTUS may take, and probably will, is a Full Faith and Credit argument. That too won’t end well for us.

This issue is lost. America is in decline. We are the ONLY demographic that wants to prohibit gay “marriage”. Yeah, blacks kinda don’t like it but it is in huge flux with them.

And as we die off. There is nothing to replace us. Quite frankly, it is like that on just about every single conservative issue

I didn’t need to wake up to this. This is really about 10 times worse than you think it is.

"Or your dog or cat."

Yes, just because there is a state law specifically 'defining' the interpersonal and contractual familial relationship of a human being, by this ruling.......the mere act of "prohibiting" a human being from self-defining what that relationship is to be, is now deemed... UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

Today is effectively a green light for triads, groups, etc., because anything less than defense of heterosexual monogamous marriage is tantamount to a green light.

Yes, marriage will be meaningless.

Possibly the only way to reverse course on this, would be to rescind governmental and employment benefits regarding marriage and family status. Some think that the push for homosexual marriage was to get homosexual partners on employer based health insurance plans, for example. If such incentives to get benefits based on family status are gone, then perhaps few homosexuals and others would bother getting married.

In other words, marriage will be meaningless.

Hollywood and lawyers did that a long time ago.

I hear ya friend. I take it even bigger though. Liberalism has been corruptive for even longer.

As I have said for decades ... the problem isn’t Government, the problem is LibTard government.

Agreed. Anyone who wants to get married, in any configuration, any number of partners, any sex of partners involved, will eventually be recognized as a legal marriage. And will have access to the incidental legal and employment benefits given to married couples, which were intended for traditional married couples.

That legal matchup is coming soon.

  Judeo-Christian (Monogamy, traditional marriage)
    vs.
  Liberalism (gay/lesbian marriage)

WINNER: Liberalism

Next Matches
  Judeo-Christian (Monogamy, traditional marriage)
    vs.
  Expanded Liberalism (gay/lesbian, pedophile marriage)

  Judeo-Christian (Monogamy, traditional marriage)
    vs.
Expanded Liberalism (gay/lesbian, pedophile, bestial marriage)

  Liberalism (gay/lesbian marriage)
    vs.
  Islamic Sharia (polygamy, forced conversion)

If Islamic Sharia wins, neither expanded liberalism nor Judeo-Christian will be allowed to further oppose.

The corporatist culture, to which the Supreme
Court belongs, wants the youth to think that
the litmus test for behavior is that it makes
them feel good.

Anybody who wants to sacrifice — for his spouse,
family, country, God — is an idiot. And anybody
who doesn’t use feelings for the standard of right
and wrong is “a hater.”

It’s deeply embedded in the culture now, and later
our kids’ kids will wonder why we didn’t want
to have as much fun as they are having...

shhh! ...except they will all be miserable!
