Charismatically Challenged

Ever notice how less thant averge Obama appointees are?

TOPICS: Chit/Chat
KEYWORDS: obama; politicalappointees
I am watching the House hearings on Secret Service issues and struck by an ovisous answer to questions that are always asked by Congress about federal agency failures. Look at the people who run them. They are the most charismatically challenged group of people I have ever see. From Lois Learner to the DHS head, to Clapper and the SS and IRS chief...they are a very unimpressive bunch.

It’s got to be the comparison ploy. If you surround yourself with lesser people, you’ll look better.

ovisous

I'm stuck. I give up. What does "ovisous" mean?

Years ago, my dad had a woman working for him. As she was pretty darn ugly. But she made sure everyone she hired was uglier than she was. Ugliest bunch of broads you ever saw.

Ovious: a lesser form of obvious; generally used in circumstances of keyboard incapacity.

That's bad. I once experienced the opposite problem. I had a married and womanizing boss that only hired bombshells regardless of their qualifications. Every day was "training day" back then, as we couldn't get the tree bark potty trained. I don't know how many sexual harrassment complaints got filed. But I considered filing one of my own, and I'm a guy. He was "let go" eventually.

My late father use to say the same thing about the Clinton cabinet. He had been a life long democrat who only became a Republican during the Reagan years and was thoroughly disgusted about what the democrat party had beccome. I remember we were watching the 1996 DNC convention and all Clinton’s cabinet filed into the auditorium, my dad rolled his eyes and said, “Gawd! I’ve seen better looking people at the freak show tent in the Circus. He went on to call Robert Reich the smelly dwarf and Janet Reno the bearded lady....
