“I dont have a firearm, so I have a short spear, very quick, very agile and very deadly, Morgan told the NBC affiliate.”
Makes me ASHAMED to be a Texan - the idea that even one of us DOESN’T have a firearm. Our schools have failed us. It’s time to rise up and NEVER let this happen again.

Kinda reminds me of the film version of MASH...
The big football game...
The brought in a ringer named Dr. “Spear Chucker” Jones...
This is actually the first thing that popped into my deranged mind when I read the story...

I have always wondered if I made a thrust with the spear and a young powerful man grabbed it, he could take it away from me. You could go with a Japanese Naginata
Alternately, you could cut a few grooves near the blade end of the spear shaft, and insert razor blades to give a surprise to anybody trying to grab the spear. (alternately, pound in nails and use a dremel tool to sharpen the ends that now stick out.

I wuz thinking a Hattori Hanzo sword would be nice...;-)
I’ve seen some knockoff, wannabe types out there...The real deal would be kinda neat, but I don’t have a million bucks...

........yeah, Im going down tomorrow to apply for my CSL............(Concealed Spear License) You got one of those three-foot "snubbies" with a compact atl-atl? They'll take those away from you. Those come with a silencer, factory stock.
