Gotta love the Kurds & their fighters. This is good news and yet another morale booster for the Peshmerga and allied fighters.
They just need to substantially increase their kill ratio and perhaps begin to plan to place well-positioned ambushes along the avenues of retreat to kill more ISIS fighters as they try to withdraw from the battle.
Anyhow, good news indeed!
What are they doing with the ISIS members that they capture? Are they getting information out of them? Are they alowed to water board them?
Be funny if the women tease them...
This is the one ethnic group in the area worth supporting directly and richly deserving their own country.
Given the fact that Iran and Turkey strongly oppose giving the Kurds their own state I think we should strongly support it.
May God protect them, as they wipe the ISIS scum from the earth.
They showed initiative and courage. These villages are on the outskirts of Mosul.
Now I understand why Turkey is giving us the shaft. The PKK is involved. I say stand up a USA quality Kurdish Army, with missile defense and an air force and watch how fast Turkey and Iran Stop with their Bull bleep. When the Kurds can take Kurdistan by force, Turkey and Iran will worry about surviving as States and will need us to restrain the Kurds.
ISIS got the drop on them (briefly), but when the momentum of their early assaults petered out the Kurds were definitely going to make them pay. The Peshmerga units are tough light infantry.
