Man Confronts Reporter for Photographing Private Building from Public Road
PINAC reporter Jeff Gray was video recording from outside an indistinguishable building in Jacksonville today when it began speaking to him, a booming female voice telling him he was not allowed to take photos.
The voice, which was obviously coming from somewhere inside viewing him with a camera, almost seemed to be able to hear Gray speaking back, telling him he must walk to the building’s front gate, which he did, careful not to enter the property of the building.
A man then came walking out, acting as if he was going to physically confront Gray, reading the Photography is Not a Crimelabel on his shirt, telling him that it was a crime to take photos of a private building.

If that law is true it seems google earth could see a class action lawsuit that would destroy it.
A few years ago a guy in a residential area of the Upper East Side of Manhattan came up to me and,in a threatening tone,said “why are you taking pictures of me?” I told him I was taking photos of the famous brownstone in front of which he was standing.It was 11AM but I was still scared.

So basically a shot of NYC would require 200 years to get every building owner’s permission.

Weird stuff. In my town, nearly every year students from the university come by my house and take pictures of it for a class on home architecture. I have an English Tudor style home.

No it isn’t.
It's a protected right to take pictures and video from a public street or public sidewalk. There's a growing body of court decisions supporting this and there's also a current memo from the US Department of Justice that has been sent to all law enforcement agencies on this topic.

Yeah there’s so many laws and regulations now, you’d think they’re trying to outlaw being human. I imagine that’s exactly what the progressives are trying to do. When there’s so many laws you might as well break a few to piss off all the cranial cavity deficient authors who wrote them

Nope.From the looks of him...and the sound of him...I'd wager that his IQ was at least 40 points lower than the guy pictured.
After listening to the video where the camera guy clearly says he doesn’t know what the building is, then why is he photographing it? For what purpose and for whom? If it is a Wells Fargo building, then it seems obvious to me why WF has security equipment in place. They have been robbed a few times in their existence.
