In order to debate with compassion, empathy and humility you first must have compassion, empathy and humility. Its becoming increasingly clear Dawkins possesses none of these qualities.

I'm guessing @RichardDawkins thinks George Bernard Shaw's thoughts on civilized society were ahead of their time. 5:57 PM - 20 Aug 2014" Love it!!!
Our Mission StatementI
To ensure that antenatal screening exists only to provide unborn children with Down Syndrome and their parents with life-affirming, unbiased care through education, support and understanding.
Cool...Never knew this site existed.
Dawkins on morality, of which he insists there is none.
Where does morality come from if not from God. Dawkins can blather on until he’s blue in the face since, according to him, it’s all made up anyway.
Boy did that mental “giant” get owned and no intellectual sparring was required or even needed
If there is no morality there is anarchy. You cannot have good without evil at least here on earth...
Romans
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world Gods invisible qualitieshis eternal power and divine naturehave been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creatorwho is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know Gods righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
I kinda like what Jesus said about if they hate you remember they hated me first.
Of course they hate a baby with down’s what not to hate? /major sarc I mean hate the disease, hate the extra chromosome, hate the side affects that come with having down syndrome but don’t hate the baby he/she is still a person.
With verses like that, I don’t know how people can claim that the Bible approves of homosexuality. There might be things in the Bible that Christians or theologians can disagree about, but that’s not one of them. The Bible makes it crystal clear that homosexuality is wrong.
Each of the beautiful children and their parents which appear on the "savingdowns" web site is a testament to the empty and spiritually void comments of the Dawkinses of the world.
May I suggest ordering one of Ben Haden's long-ago sermons entitled, "Affliction," in which he relates a story about the unexpected birth of a Down's Syndrome baby to a minister and his wife, and how God used the birth of that child, and the people and events surrounding the couple's reaction to that birth to have a positive influence on the lives of many individuals.
Haden's web site address is. Now deceased, Haden was an attorney, newspaper editor, and Presbyterian minister whose "Changed Lives" radio program and internet presence made a powerful difference in the lives of many.
F*** him and his non-apology. The thing is, Dawkins is basing his “opinion” on out dated information.

It should be especially clear to those who call themselves pastors, priest ....and teach only grace and not warn against sin. God is love, but also a judge. True repentance must come before grace and forgiveness. God will hold those accountable who do not teach the full gospel, but only feel a good false religion.
Amen, sista!
When I had my kids, I learned SO much about how God loves and treats us.
We scream and whine when life gets ‘hard’, yet I can remember my toddler aged son whining when I would no longer let him hold my fingers in order to walk.
To him, it was torture. But I HAD to allow him to LEARN how to walk on his own 2 feet.
Oh yeah, we ALL teach our kids RIGHT from WRONG. Funny how some folks want to think it’s wrong of God and/or the Church to continue this teaching... (so they can keep doing wrong and not feel guilty inside)
He is not much of a scientist at all.
From the time he was 26 to the age of 54, he was an assistant professor of zoology.
He did not become a professor until a rich friend endowed a chair just for him so he could finally call himself a professor.
so they can keep doing wrong and not feel guilty inside
Hey! Even he got a second chance in “The Menagerie”.
Side note “The Menagerie” was the only Star Trek episode to have a two parts.
