"The Expendables 3" lived down to its title over the weekend as moviegoers shunned the third installment of the shoot-'em-up franchise featuring the action heroes of yesteryear. The movie grossed an estimated $16.2 million, falling short of Lionsgate's projected take of $20 million to $25 million and putting it in the No. 4 spot for the weekend.

"The Expendables 3" also trailed the series' previous two movies, which debuted with $34.8 million and $28.8 million, both good for the No. 1 spot. What happened this time around?

Stallones movies are pure formula. The first one was fun, the second ok but not as good.

All these do is make you realize that all these actors are old and there don’t seem to be any good young ones able to make a decent movie.

People are getting tired of has beens who peaked 20 years ago. And if they are expendable, why do none of them get killed?

We own the other two. We also own all the terminator movies except the last one. Same reason.

The second one is the best. Both of the RED movies are outstanding. Hope they let that one die at its prime like they should have done with the expendables.
