Totally.

I'm thinking this would be an excellent paint treatment for motorcycles, too. Guarantee you, it would save thousands of lives, if widely adopted.

Hah, they are a little behind the curve IMHO. 10 years ago I wrapped the entire frame on my commuter bike with the reflecto-tape that goes on semi trailers and stuff like that.
