A Kenner man was ordered Thursday to serve back-to-back life sentences in prison for abducting a 7-year-old girl from her Fat City apartment complex and forcing her to perform a sexual act on him in his car. "Words like heinous and horror don't even begin to describe this kind of crime," Judge Scott Schlegel of the 24th Judicial District Court told Steven D. Carter.
Carter, 30, was convicted of aggravated kidnapping and aggravated rape in the June 5, 2013, crime. It began late that afternoon when he wandered into the apartment complex at 3420 Edenborn Ave, snatched one of the four children who were playing by the entry gate, threw her in his car and drove away.

Gee whiz. I just read the article. This bitch needs to be put out of EVERYONE’S misery.
The sad thing, too, is that though there was no death, thank the Lord, unlike, for instance the Channon Christian - Newsom case, (about which nobody will ever hear,) this is a truly heinous WHITE-on-BLACK crime that will therefore continue to be larger-than-life in the media.

Oh Yes! I agree. Inmates hate child molesters. He’ll be lucky to even stay alive in Angola. It might as well be a slow execution.

I used to live in Fat City. It is a small area near Lakeside Shopping centre in Metairie that was touted as Metairies French Quarter in the 70`s 80`s. Lots of nightclubs and music venues. “Fat” as in prosperous. New apt complexes surrounded it that started out nice for young singles but got seedy and dangerous in the 80`s. They are tryIng to revive it and go upscale now but the apts are full of Katrina evacuees from N.O., third world types and just dangerous. They had to put a police substation in the heart of the area. Valuable land with potential but I think politicos and mob types own lots of the property so its doubtful it could be revived as a decent entertainment area. This subhuman tried the “I was on drugs and not in control of my mind” defense. Cops should put a 44 to his head and dump him out in the swamp.
