'Dating Naked' trailer: And you thought Tinder was brutal (NSFW)
ew.com ^ | July 11, 2014

It’s naked and really afraid!

Below is the first full trailer for VH1′s next-level dating show experiment Dating Naked, where singles go on tropical dates in the buff. The skin-n-blur preview shows attractive nervous singles as they awkwardly navigate first dates without clothes at a tropical resort.

Each close-ended episode will feature a man and a woman as they each date two different, naked suitors and each other. At the end of the episode, the two romance seekers decide whether or not to move forward with their prospective love matches. There’s naked dining, naked swimming, naked horseback riding and even naked elimination ceremonies (there’s nothing quite like being rejected while naked on national television).

More evidence of desperate media circling the drain while chronicling the decline of society.

Yet when PBS** runs a Ken Burns documentary on the National Parks or Baseball or the Civil War, the ratings are through the roof.

Why is it so hard?

**It pains me to quote this example

Wouldn't that be "clothes-ended" ??

Don’t ask. I am thinking about a show based on the relationship between shepherds and ewes, but they can come up with even worse, I am sure.

Is a frank display of emotion a plus or a minus in that situation?

Regarding the desperate media.

I was switching channels during Fox's interminable commercials and I noticed that CNN has a program on the first year of the royal's baby prince. HLN has some reruns of Forensic files, and MSNBC has some stories on Orange county jails.

It looks like the left wing media has abandoned the cable channels. They are the ones circling the drain.

Depends, is it a big frank or a lil’ frank?

There is a television show that is called Married at First Sight. The bride and groom never met each other until they are married.

I think the dating naked show tops that.

It seems like the naked dating show should be on other channel.

Which reminds me, no baseball fan can honestly criticize any soccer fans for being closet leftists when they have the uber leftist Ken Burns waxing poetic about baseball.

I fail to understand how any human being could ever get to the point these two have. It seems virtually impossible. You would have to work hard on your gluttony to reach these heights.

Even “The Network” did not anticipate we could sink this low. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_%28film%29

People always groan that reality TV is all about the Low Information Voters. While IQ’s do seem to be diving for the deck, the primary driving force behind this is Controlling Costs —the number of channels has exploded, heavily fracturing audiences.

With Reality TV you pay way, waaaay less on writers, actors and post-production.

Why the naked aspect?

Because now there is a lot of reality TV competitors, and you have to get an angle to set you apart:

When people are good they are good in so very many different ways, but when they are bad they are bad in very, very similar ways:

PEOPLE LIKE NAKED.

As viewership moves more and more to the web, totally abandoning TV, these nakeders will have to get it on, at the end, or something.

Or maybe they’ll have to go through the jungle naked together, AND THEN STOMP RODENTS.

You get the drift...
