Costco Keeps Twisting the Truth about D'Souza and Hillary Books (Vanity)
Self | 7/11/14 | Self

In response to why Hillary's book was not taken off the shelf...here is the reply:

Dear XXXX,

The decision to keep her book in stock in our locations is purely sales based as well. The books that are currently stocked in our stores have met our sales threshold, and so we continue to carry them. I might suggest visiting Costco.com for further information from our CEO regarding this matter. Thank you,

Sarah S. Member Service Center Costco Wholesale Corporation

I do know that there hare many copies of her books in the local Costco - habe neen since published....does not appear they are moving well...

Didn’t Costco release book sales numbers for the D’Souza book to justify pulling it?

Why don’t they do the same for the Hillary book? Or, if they did, would they just fabricate the numbers to cover their butt?

I was at BJ’s last week and there was - literally - a mountain of Hillary books. It was ludicrously large. I was amazed that they had ordered so many and secondly, it was obvious that no one was buying. Are the stockpiles at Costco as big?

What about the money? I’ve heard she got an “advance” on expected royalties. Do writers have to pay these advances back, if book sales don’t hit projections?

I think it’s funny Hillary’s book slipped on the best seller lists, behind a book which tells you how to cleanse your colon with green smoothies.

EXCERPT: "There’s hand-wringing and finger-pointing at Simon & Schuster over the soft performance of Hillary Clinton’s “Hard Choices,” for which she got a $14 million advance, sources said — and which was replaced at No. 1 on the best-seller list this week by an “exposé” about Hillary and Bill Clinton."

"A rep for Simon & Schuster did not respond to a request for comment.

Reports have said the early numbers for “Hard Choices” reflect that it will not sell enough to cover Clinton’s advance, or to sell the million copies shipped, which are sent on consignment, with unsold copies ultimately going back to the publisher."

Even more delicious is that Hillary's disastrous book roll-out was managed by Dudester Tommy Vietor---what he does for a living now---was once Obama's van- driver with ntl security clearance who Obama appointed his NSA advisor; Vietor sat in on WH Situation Room crisis meetings.

Feel safer, now, America?

DUDESTER VIETOR offered up a truly laughable assesment of Hillary''s hellish book tour. “The Secretary enjoyed spending this week talking about 'Hard Choices' and working with President Obama to restore America’s leadership in the world,” he said in an email. “She’ll continue to be relaxed, candid and direct.”

Must be auditioning for a SNL job--producing comical skits.

Something like a 14 million dollar advance - expect the publisher to be jumping out of a window. Sadly, this will impact other writers with good stories to tell. They’ll have to self-publish on Amazon while Hillary - that locust - will continue to eat up everything around her.

Sales threshold for keeping "Hard Choices"=1.

Sales threshold for keeping "America"=1,000,000.

I suppose one needs money to go into a costco or any other store. So I’m oblivious to this.

I was talking with Costco Customer Service and asked them why Costco pulled the book. The gal said the book was in the stores. I told her it wasn’t in my store. She said it must be out of stock and looked up when a new shipment would be delivered. She said it was due to be delivered the end of July. What!?

I told her it must be political that Costco is delaying things. Either that or Costco is very inefficient to have a #1 Amazon best seller not available for a month. She said those allegations were all lies. I responded that our government lies to us so Costco might as well too. She wasn’t as cordial by the end of our conversation. Damn Seattle liberal! LOL

Then the quota must mean one book sold because the 3 locations I go to have a the same stack of 200 still sitting there!

Same here, but as fast as they put out the Hillary books, folks cover them up with Ben Carson’s book and similar.
