A Sudanese woman who was sentenced to death for renouncing Islam has been freed from detention for a second time.
Meriam Ibrahim has now sought sanctuary at the American embassy in the capital Khartoum.
Speaking exclusively to the BBC she thanked the Sudanese people for standing by her.

She spoke in brief measured tones ...very wise. Few could maintain such dignified statement given the immense threat breathing down every door that has been opened to her and her protectors.

From what was reported she was in or on her way to the airport as they turned around and ordered her re-arrested on some other sharia offence. How she managed to get to the consulate is yet to be revealed.
Glad to hear it. I’ll be happier still when I hear she is safely out of Islamic Territory and maybe being interviewed on Fox News.
Maybe Obama was working a deal to trade her for more GITMO detainees....
That actually would not surprises me as far fetched as that sounds...
