The Takata recall was because the airbag supposedly accidentally deploys in warm, humid weather. Which really bothers me because there were never any real incidents of such deployments in Japan during the hot, humid summers in that country (the home islands of Kyushu, Shikoku and the western part of Honshu can get as hot and humid as the US Southeast in August).
This is another Takata problem
