Sadly, lax play led to the shot from Portugal, way down the field, or pitch as ya’ll say.
About a minute to go, a US player is bring the ball down all alone, a Port. come from behind and simply pushes the American off the ball and take it down or the setup.
In this situation, the US player has to know that no foul will be called on that pushoff. If this is avoided, the US is in, there is no setup in the US zone.
