The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) became one of the largest Christian denominations in America to endorse gay marriage when its General Assembly voted in Detroit yesterday (June 19) to allow pastors to conduct same-sex weddings and approved a constitutional amendment defining marriage as between "two people" rather than "a man and a woman."
The authorization for pastors to perform gay weddings takes effect immediately and applies only to ministers in the 19 states where the practice is legal. The measure passed by a vote of 317 (61 percent) to 238 (39 percent) and was classified as an "Authoritative Interpretation" of the PCUSA constitution.

Now comes the question, how do you define “people”?
They have been off the rails for quite a while. Even looking the other way when their pastors commit adultery. They are losing many of their church affiliates in the process. The First Presbytarian church in Yakima, WA just went through the process of disassociating with them. They posted about this at their website. Interesting to read through it.

The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) on Friday voted to sell church stock in three Israeli companies to protest the treatment of “Palestinians” by Israel.
Looks like the Presbyterian Church has essentially sealed it’s impending demise... and quite frankly I welcome it. This idiotic decision is only going to lead to even more longtime members leaving the already long-dying denomination. And it’s not like a bunch of gays and leftists are going to join the church and replace them.
My wife is Presbyterian. Been after me to join her church. I pointed this out and said I will do so when hell freezes over.
At least they limited it to two people, as opposed to 5, to include 1 dog, 2 cats and 3% of their cattle.

Looks like PCUSA has the right initials.
Better to know this about one’s church and high tail it out of the lion’s den if one is a REAL Christian. How can this denomination think homosexuality is okay with God? or does it not matter to them what God says?

And to think it is the church (if you want to call it that) that is spitting in God’s face.
I would get out of that denomination in a heart beat and either join another who hasn’t lost its senses or start a non denominational church.
Think of it this way. . .if you are a member of this denomination and your church may not believe their way, your money is going to their causes through the organization.
